Celebrating a birthday party in Amsterdam

Organising a birthday party should stay fun — also for the parents. At WOPL! in Amsterdam-Zuid we arrange a birthday where the children can play, discover and laugh non-stop, while you don't have to stress about the programme, the clean-up or the weather. Our indoor play and learning world at Stadionplein 300, right next to the Olympic Stadium, is open every day from 09:00 to 17:30 and, with three unique play worlds, is the place for a successful party.

Why a birthday party at WOPL! in Amsterdam?

At WOPL! it's all about learning through play. The birthday child and all the guests can let loose in our three play worlds:

• World of Water — catch fish, build water tracks, splash and discover.
• World of Construction — stack giant blocks, drive dump trucks and climb in the climbing corner.
• World of Art — paint, draw, sculpt with clay and discover colours.

So there's something fun for every child to enjoy, from the very youngest to children of 8 years old. And because WOPL! is fully indoors, the party goes ahead no matter what — whether it rains, blows a gale or is gloriously sunny. On nice days there's also our sunny terrace, WOPL! Square, to play outside for a bit.

How a birthday party at WOPL! works

We're happy to take the practical side off your hands. The children play to their heart's content in the play worlds, while you as a parent can relax and enjoy. In the cosy WOPL! Café you enjoy snacks and drinks, keeping an easy eye on the children in the meantime. That way the party becomes a lovely moment for the grown-ups too — no running and rushing, just relaxing together.

Handy: accessibility, rates and tips

WOPL! is centrally located and easy to reach in Amsterdam-Zuid, at Stadionplein 300 (1076 CK), a stone's throw from the Olympic Stadium. Ideal for guests coming by public transport or by car.

Do you have more outings to WOPL! on the programme? Then a membership (from €11 per month) is extra attractive: among other things, you get 15% off parties. Just coming for a play apart from the party? A single ticket for children (1–7 years) costs €9,95 online, and on Thursdays adults even get free entry with a regular ticket.

A few tips for a smooth party:

• Book your party in good time, especially at the weekend and during holidays.
• Let us know how old the birthday child is and how many children are coming, so we can tailor everything nicely.
• Dress the children in clothes that can handle a splash or a paint stain — here, playing is really allowed.
